Clear Water Solutions is assisting Dillon Valley Water District
with design, bid and project management duties associated with replacement of the District’s in-house pumping facilities.
The original water treatment facility, built over thirty years ago, still utilized the four original transfer pumps. These pumps were a “smorgasbord” of various sizes and capacities – which the District used to try and match the treatment facility throughput. During the design process, CWS suggested that the District consider replacing the four existing pumps with three pumps each rated at 50% of the peak treatment plant capacity. By doing so, the District could meet peak demands while minimizing their spare parts inventory and still stay within the motor manufacturer recommended minimum motor cycle times.
We provided detailed design of all improvements along with detailed project specifications. |
